Sonos Ace headphones
Sonos is breaking away from speakers — kind of. They’re bringing their signature sound closer with the Sonos Ace headphones. While we’ve yet to test the Aces, we’re intrigued by the promises made by the brand.
As reported by Mashable tech editor Stan Schroeder, Sonos is using proprietary 40-millimetre dynamic drivers for sound. There’s an included microphone for taking calls and the headphones support active noise cancellation. Sonos loyalists will especially reap the benefits. With the touch of a button, you can swap the audio from a Sonos Arc soundbar and transfer it to the Ace headphones.

In addition to active noise cancellation, the Sonos Ace headphones have aware mode, letting users experience their surroundings with the click of a button. Plus according to Sonos, the headphones have a 30 hour battery life with ANC on and with fast charging, you can get three hours of listening from just three minutes of charging. While we’ve yet to actually get our hands on the headphones to test out these tantalizing features, we’re excited to see if they live up to their proposed hype.
The headphone design isn’t anything we haven’t seen before, having a similar look to the Sony WH-1000XM5, and are available in black and soft white.
The Sonos Ace headphones are available for preorder today and will ship as soon as June 5.
