Train to Busan and Hellbound’s Yeon Sang-Ho has rattled us with high-speed zombies and hellish creatures back for their due, and in the trailer for the writer’s latest thriller, it looks like distant family members might be the biggest threat.
Directed by Min Hong-nam (who was assistant director on Train to Busan), Netflix series The Bequeathed concerns a family burial ground, left by a late uncle to his niece Yoon Seo-ha (Kim Hyun-joo). But when an unsettling man turns up claiming to be her half-brother, the fight for inheritance gets bloody.
The Bequeathed is streaming on Netflix Jan. 19.
