Neil Gaiman, the fantasy mastermind behind book-to-television marvels like The Sandman, Good Omens, and Coraline, is lending his beloved literature to Netflix’s latest.
Dead Boy Detectives, an upcoming eight-episode show, is inspired by Gaiman and comic writer Matt Wagner’s series for DC Comics. The series belongs to The Sandman universe, which was adapted by Netflix a few years ago. In the latest rendition, two best friends evade the afterlife by remaining on Earth and investigating paranormal crimes. Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), born decades apart, use their ghostly powers to take on demons, witches, and other spooky foes.
Dead Boy Detectives premieres on Netflix on April 25.
