Kevin Costner’s bringing all that Yellowstone buzz, Open Range praise, and American history research into a two-part Western epic, Horizon: An American Saga, which now has a full-on trailer.
Directed by Costner and co-written with Jon Baird, the film spans the four years of the Civil War from 1861 to 1865 and how it reached the settlement of America’s Western frontier — including its impact on Native American nations, communities, and families.
Costner’s back in the director’s chair following 2003’s Open Range and 1990’s Dances with Wolves, and he stars alongside a big cast including Sienna Miller, Jena Malone, Owen Crow Shoe, Tatanka Means, Sam Worthington, Luke Wilson, Danny Huston, Amos Jason Charging Cloud, Jamie Campbell Bower, Bodhi Okuma Linton, Alejandro Edda, Wasé Winyan Chief, Will Patton, Giovanni Ribisi, and more.
Horizon: An American Saga will be released as two films, the first of which is in cinemas June 28, the second out Aug. 16.
