The red-band trailer for post-apocalyptic action film Boy Kills World is here, and it’s giving Deadpool only much less talkative.
Boy Kills World follows the titular Boy (Bill Skarsgård), who is left deaf, unable to vocalize, and orphaned after his entire family is murdered by Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen), the leader of a powerful corrupt dynasty. Like countless white boys before him, Boy subsequently trains under a mysterious Asian man (Yayan Ruhian) to become extraordinarily skilled at martial arts.
This eventually leads to him falling in with a resistance group after he unleashes his skills on the eve of the annual culling of dissidents, which is apparently a thing in this particular dystopia. All the while, Boy is accompanied by the apparent ghost of his little sister Mina (Quinn Copeland), and an internal voice adopted from his favourite video game (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin).
The film also features Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Andrew Koji, and Sharlto Copley.
Boy Kills World arrives in theatres Apr. 26.
